This document describes how we handle the data we get from you, users of our service.
Information that is gathered from users
Similarly to other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the users's IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.
Cookies (or local storage) may be used to remember users preferences when interacting with the website.
Where registration is required, the user's email will be stored on the server. In some cases, we store password hashes with best security practices in mind.
For invoicing purposes, we also store registered user's name and optionally other personal information the user need for issuing invoices, such as company name, street, street number city, postal code, country and VAT identification number.
How the information is used
The information is used to enhance the user's experience when using the website to display personalised content and be able to access extra features.
Email addresses will not be sold, rented or leased to 3rd parties.
Email messages may be sent to inform you from operational reasons. We do not send any advertising via email.
User options
If you have subscribed to our services, you may unsubscribe by deleting your account in the Settings page.
You may be able to block cookies via your browser settings but this may prevent you from access to certain features of the website.

Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. Also they may be used to track your return visits to the website.
We do not use 3rd party cookies with exception of cookies needed to integrate chat service Tawk.to (see below).

If the chat function of our website is activated by the user, additional personal data will be processed.
Processed data categories: technical connection data of the server access (IP address, date, time, requested page, browser information) data about your inquiry or contact information like name and email address.
Purpose of processing: analysis of user behavior, supporting website visitors with technical or content-related questions and content optimization.
The legal basis for processing: your consent according to Art. 6 (1) a GDPR.
Data transmitted: to the data processor tawk.to inc., 187 East Warm Springs Rd, SB298 Las Vegas, NV 89119, USA. This may also mean a transfer of personal data to a country outside the European Union. The data is transferred to the USA on the basis of Art. 45 GDPR in conjunction with the European Commission's adequacy decision C(2023) 4745, since the data recipient has committed to comply with the data processing principles of the Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
